SFIS Revitalizes Frankenstein At First Friday – The State Press.
My Thoughts
I have a passion for creating content and telling local stories that make an impact. Reporting on ASU’s School for the Future of Innovation and Society’s celebration of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” at First Friday highlighted the intersection of science, innovation, and storytelling. One key idea from a workshop led to a proposal to the National Science Foundation for funding, resulting in what’s called a “transmedia experience” around Frankenstein. The event featured hands-on experiments where attendees created illuminated clay figures and enjoyed a live reenactment by professional actors Jon Spelman and Anika Taylor. Covering science and innovation is vital to ASU and the local community, as these themes drive the future of learning and creativity.
